Simple Steps To Recovery
Hello, first off....I want to state that I'm NOT the best writer in the world. So please excuse me beforehand...with that said, I do have a LOT of knowledge on the subject of drug and alcohol addiction. My family and I have been in the drug and alcohol testing business since 1996. We're one of the largest rapid, instant, on-site wholesale drug test suppliers in the nation. We have seen many change their lives for the better over the years...and I'm going to give you some simple steps to get started. Let's get to work!
If you'll notice the title above? "Simple Steps To Recovery." Yes, they're very, very simple...but they're not easy. They're so simple, that for someone without a drug or alcohol problem might just in-fact laugh at! them. :) Yes, we hear it ALL the time in our business. "You mean...someone can STOP using drugs and alcohol just by doing that???" Yes, it's true....we've seen it happen.
1. The first step to recovery: is to admit to yourself and perhaps someone else...that you do in-fact have a drug or alcohol problem. I would venture to say..that if you're reading this right now...you do in-fact have a problem...or you know/love someone who does. It is commonly known that drug addicts and alcoholics are typically NOT the MOST truth-ful people in the world.
This does not mean that they are BAD people...they have a diease with NO KNOWN cure! Ask any addict...and I'll bet you $100 bucks....that on their list of things to achieve in life...was NOT to become a drug-addict.?? Most addicts and alcoholics have not been truthful to others, but more importantly...they haven't been truth-ful to themselves. One of the most common statements you'll hear in recovery is: "TO THY OWN SELF..BE TRUE."
What do I mean by NOT being truthful to one's self? Addicts will tell themselves things like:
1. "Oh, I can quit anytime I want too!"
2. "I'm not hurting anyone..." (oh really? you're just keeping your loved one's up to all hours of the nite wondering if you're dead alive or in jail?)
3. "Oh, I would NEVER do anything like that..." Yes, the #1 LIE many addicts tell themselves...only to find they've progressed from something like smoking pot...to putting needles in their arms. The diease of addiction is a VERY slow and progressive diease...sometimes taking 20, 25, 30+ years to fully materialize in one's body, mind and spirit.
7/12/10 - folks, this is a work in progress...it's going to take me a few days to write this. If ANYONE reading this NEEDS help...you may call me at my office...877-262-0836. You don't have to give any details...just leave your FIRST name and a # for me to call you back if I'm not available...or you may email me at: TonyL@injectionmeds.com.
That's all I have for today...i will be updating tomorrow.
